dc.description.abstract | This article discusses the reformulation of the monarchical thought made by Rafael Gambra, in continuity with the political traditionalism of the 19th and 20th centuries. The notion of “Kingdom” helps the author to settle a negative evaluation of political modernity, which condenses in rationalism and its dominant configuration: the “rational” State. In this context, we underline the critique of liberalism, as a theory and political system, the central moment of the political disintegration. In contrast, the “monarchy social and representative” emerges as a historical model which is equivalent to a proper realization of what is known as the classic city or political community. | |
