Abstract

According to the Directorate of Labor, almost 20% of the occupational accidents recorded in the Metropolitan Region in 2014 were associated with personal or human factors (Carrasco, 2016). These include performing unassigned tasks or functions, not complying with orders and instructions, lack of timely use of personal protection elements and non-compliance with security procedures. It is in this context that Dante Crovetto's project arises, which consists of the integration of biometric monitoring (assessing biological processes with standardized measurements) in risk prevention systems, to specifically measure the states of fatigue, concentration problems and tiredness of operators while in service
