dc.description.abstractEn el transcurso de los últimos años, la evolución del desarrollo científico y tecnológico, junto al crecimiento del uso de las redes sociales, ha formado un incremento de la demanda de los procedimientos médicos y odontológicos enfocados en la estética y la belleza. Sin embargo, los tratamientos tienen elevados riesgos que conllevan daños que pueden afectar de forma permanente a la calidad de vida del paciente. Por tal motivo, los profesionales de la salud deben enfrentarse a disyuntivas bioéticas y a amparar el bienestar de la salud integral, por encima del aspecto visual. Over the course of recent years, the evolution of scientific and technological development, along with the growth in the use of social networks, has created an increase in the demand for medical and dental procedures focused on aesthetics and beauty. However, the treatments have high risks that lead to damage that can permanently affect the patient's quality of life. For this reason, health professionals must face bioethical dilemmas and protect the well-being of comprehensive health, above the visual aspect.
