Publication Estrategias desinformativas sobre migración en Chile: encuadre de noticias falsas respecto a la movilidad humana(2023) Sibrian Díaz, Nairbis Desiree; Colmenares Mejías, Neida Josefina; Núñez Silva, Juan CarlosEl objetivo es analizar la representación de la población migrante en desinformaciones identi-ficadas por 14 plataformas de fact-checking chilenas, entre 2018 y 2022. La muestra se caracte-riza según fechas, fuentes, medios, estrategias, frames y ejes discursivos, a través de un análisisde contenido, encuadre y discurso en 93 casos. Los resultados muestran que existe contenidoengañoso (42%) y fabricado (39%), con encuadre de derechos (33%) y seguridad (28%), juntoa ejes discursivos como “invasores” (34%), “delincuentes” (25%) e “ilegales” (23%). Asimismo,se constata que circulan en redes sociales (66%) y medios nacionales (27%), aumentado enperiodos electorales y siendo emitidas por supuestos testigos (31%), partidos políticos (20%),Gobierno e instituciones (18%). Esta investigación revela la confluencia de actores y discursosen la desinformación sobre migración en Chile, advirtiendo que podría tratarse de una estra-tegia generalizada de desincentivo a la movilidad humana que utiliza la falsedad como recursoPublication Using a Social Robot to Aid Online Learning: Identifying Teachers’ Media and Digital Competencies, Barriers and Opportunities(2023) Rodríguez-Hidalgo, Carmina; Sibrian Díaz, Nairbis DesireeAlthough the benefits of using social robots to increase engagement and boost learning are well documented (Belpaeme et al. in Sci Robot 3, 2018 [1]), less is known regarding the competencies to effectively incorporate them as a tool in online education, with the challenges and benefits thereof. This paper investigates the implementation of social robots as a pedagogical tool to support educators during online learning. Based on (Ferrés and Piscitelli in Comunicar 38:75–82, 2012 [2]) framework of media and digital competencies for teachers, this study investigates these skills, and the barriers and opportunities presented for teachers when using a social robot for online distance education. By means of a thematic analysis of in-depth interviews with educators in Chile, we identified main media and digital skills: basic programming; managing information and digital data; designing interactive activities; and developing work teams. The main barriers and benefits encountered are also provided. We conclude by providing advice for practitioners and avenues for future research.
