But to adapt to what and for what ideal? in this world of information and knowledge within everyone's reach, of generative artificial intelligence, is it a question of embodying the “educated human” of the post-modern era and thinking that knowledge guarantees the capacity to adapt? or must we deconstruct everything, refute all the teachings of the past as so many certainties that must be knocked down, barriers preventing any universal inclusion in a wokist madness consisting of denouncing all differences because they are inherently discriminatory and a factor of injustice? will knowledge ruin us, or will it save us? what is the role of design and design schools in this world when it is a question of finding meaning at a time when science and social and economic progress are no longer enough to set the course? what will the educated human (eh) be tomorrow, what leader will he/she be, and what design does this human need?Item Liderazgo ético, la nueva frontera del diseño y los diseñadores / Ethical leadership, the new frontier for design and designers(Universidad del Desarrollo. Facultad de Diseño, 2023-12) Guellerin, ChristianLa percepción del diseño ha evolucionado en los últimos años siendo aplicable por fin a todos los temas y ámbitos y estableciendo su carácter estratégico de apoyo a las empresas y a la sociedad en general. El diseño sigue reflexionando sobre la forma de los objetos, la arquitectura interior, la gráfica... pero ahora encarna todas las preocupaciones estratégicas de transformación de los modelos económicos y organizacionales. Al volverse estratégico, el diseño se ha convertido en una disciplina de gestión. Para ayudar a las organizaciones a diseñar, producir y vender productos o servicios de forma diferente, los diseñadores están llamados a ocupar puestos de gestión en todas las estructuras públicas y privadas. Las universidades y escuelas de diseño tendrán que ajustar sus programas para observar y apoyar esta evolución. The perception of design has evolved in recent years to finally become applicable to all issues and fields and to establish its strategic nature to support businesses and society in general. Design continues to reflect on the shape of objects, interior architecture, graphics... but it now embodies all the strategic concerns of transformation of economic and organizational models. By becoming strategic, design has become a management discipline. To help organizations design, produce and sell products or services differently, designers are called upon to take management positions in all public and private structures. Universities and design schools will have to adjust their programs to observe and support this evolution.
