| dc.description.abstract | La obesidad infantil en Chile alcanza cifras alarmantes. Con más del 55% de la población infantil padeciendo de sobrepeso u obesidad, este fenómeno se atribuye a factores como el sedentarismo, las dietas poco balanceadas y la desigualdad socioeconómica, entre otros. Las consecuencias van, desde problemas físicos, como la Diabetes Tipo 2, hasta efectos psicosociales, como los cuadros ansiosos y depresivos. Aunque se han implementado medidas para abordar el problema, como la promoción de una alimentación equilibrada y la actividad física regular, sigue siendo un desafío significativo para el país. Childhood obesity in Chile has reached alarming figures. With more than 55% of the child population suffering from overweight or obesity, this phenomenon is attributed to factors such as sedentary lifestyles, unbalanced diets, and socioeconomic inequality, among others. The consequences range from physical problems, such as Type 2 Diabetes, to psychosocial effects, such as anxiety and depression. Although measures have been implemented to address the problem, such as the promotion of a balanced diet and regular physical activity, it remains a significant challenge for the country. | |
