dc.description.abstract | The Chilean National Health Survey 2009-10, evidences that 88.6% of the general population does not engage in sports or physical activity in their free time, and this behavior increases with age, low educational levels, and in women. According to evidence, using physical activity for smoking cessation has a weak. However, there is strong evidence that physical activity reduces withdrawal symptoms, craving, and weight gain during smoking cessation. Adults aged 18-64 need to spend at least 150 minutes a week on moderate intensity aerobic physical activity or 75 minutes of vigorous aerobic physical activity each week or an equivalent combination of moderate and vigorous activities to protect thenrselves against mortality from diverse causes. | |
