Abstract
The UN 2030 agenda makes an urgent call to think about ways to achieve a balance between social and economic well-being, with the environment. The way in which we face this new challenge in the country will depend largely on political leadership, with sustainable development as a main priority. Despite having a good external evaluation in international studies and rankings, we are not advanced in this matter and, without a doubt, we must push the agenda with greater effort to advance and overcome the new problems and, especially, the setbacks that have arisen as a consequence of the deep global and national crisis in which we are immersed.
