Abstract:
The Archaeological Museum of La Serena, created in 1943,is dedicated to the protection and research of heritage and seeks to be a meeting place with the regional prehistoric past. It originates with the successful archaeological research work done by Francis Cornely in the 1930s.In 2000, the Museum begins a process oriented to the growth and improvement of the physical infrastructure ofits dependencies, focused on solving one of its most relevant problems: the deficit of mt2 in all areas. This comprehensive renovation considers remodeling its spaces and creating a new museum script.
